Blue Devil Basketball Camp with Coach Douglas

Coach Douglas just finished his 7th year as head varsity basketball coach, third at Quincy High School. He has compiled a record of 121-52 in his four years. As a former Blue Devil basketball player and coach for 14 years, Coach Douglas has put the lessons learned (on and off of the court) as a player/coach to better his teams.

“One of the goals we have for this program is to rejuvenate the excitement surrounding the Blue Devil basketball program.  This is a great opportunity to do that and much more.  The kids involved will have a blast learning the game of basketball.  By the end of the week they will have gained tools to be successful on and off of the basketball court.”

“It is a blessing to be a part of such an excellent basketball program.  Now it is my goal to teach the kids in this community the fundamentals they need to grow as a basketball player.  Our coaches and players are excited about the opportunity to work with the areas youth.”  Head Coach Andy Douglas

Goals of the Camp

The goals of the Andy Douglas/Blue Devil Basketball Camp are to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about the game of basketball.  We also want to teach valuable skills that will help players with all levels of experience as they continue playing the game.

An important focus will be teaching and encouraging kids to use proper technique and form rather than focusing on immediate results.  If they can practice proper form now it will make for a more successful player in the future.

We want to develop great players in this program, but more importantly is to develop great people.

Family Plan

A special plan for families that are interested in sending more than one boy is available. The first boy will pay $60.00 and each additional boy wanting to attend is discounted to $50.00.

Daily Schedule

We will go through all aspects of the game including shooting, passing, dribbling, screening, defense, and team offense (age appropriate).
